You may be asking yourself if this post was just my way to brag about how photogenic my hands can be, well, I'm happy to tell you, your pretty much right about that. Having said that, this post is not for the faint of heart, as it does end in dark tragedy (you may want to get a tissue for this one):

Once upon a time, in value village, a caramel macciato got destroyed as my tired butt looked for something that costs 99 cents, and had the ability to entertain me for an entire Sunday. And then, just when I had lost all hope, there it was, a freaky weird gold button. I almost fell over I was so exited, so right then and there I filled out the adoption paperwork (gave the creepy dude behind the counter one whole dollar) and strutted on out of there. Hours later, this ring was born....No parent has ever been so proud! Honestly, I am usually so critical of my own work, but this ring was exactly what I wanted it to be. I wore it everyday for the next few weeks, flaunting it about obnoxiously, until the unthinkable happened: It got run over by a forklift.... Seriously, A FORK LIFT! I was totally crushed, it fell from my pocket and by the time I noticed...It was gone, I should have dove in front of the forklift. Sigh.

Going Green

Unlike its polyester or petroleum-based synthetic faux counterpart's, fur is my pick for the fashionable way to 'go green'...And I don't mean green as in the color of the paint some idealistic protester has doused all over your chic fox stole in an attempt to choke the masses into submission with brute tactics. I'm referencing its eco-friendly sustainability.

The long-lasting durability of fur insures it can be restyled again and again to reflect current trends, and because of its classic nature and elegance donning a good fur will thankfully never be a thing of the past. There is simply no equal to the feeling of a soft, warm, luxurious natural fibers that perfectly compliment any outfit.

North America has had a long and proud heritage, one that includes thousands of honest, hard working people that earn their living on the land, these are the people who are directly interested in protecting vital wildlife habitat by following strict government controls to ensure that NO endangered species are ever used.

It is for these reasons and so many more that the next time I drape a beautiful vintage fur over my shoulders I will not feel my morality and scruples should be questioned. And will certainly never apologize for exercising my individual freedoms against the rigidity of simple-minded idealism.

Point is, this same old dissension is, to me, the dull arguments of a rash and relentless individual determined to 'preach the gospel' in order to eliminate free thinking, and the sanctioned belief that every woman/man has the right to choose: THE RIGHT TO FUR.

A very cute little couple that I know got married this weekend, so me and my make-up bag made our way up to Quadra island for the outdoor ceremony and indoor reception aka. everyone generally being obnoxious, and of course, IT RAINED! Luckily I was clever enough to pack a few brilliant items, including one tube of Y.S.L. Rouge Volupte lipstick which pretty much saved my life...Well, that's a tad dramatic, it just kept me looking adorable through it all, the rain, the dancing, the drinks...the hangover.
I would also like to thank my debit card for allowing me to buy the $40.00 frigging umbrella that i had to buy cause lets face it, my hair didn't find the rain all that funny.

The lipstick in question is available at sephora stores and ysl.com, I think it's between $30.00 and $40.00 bucks, and although it might sound expensive to some I guarantee you won't regret it, trust me, I'm smart.

My latest creation, this handmade little darling is comes in at roughly 19 inches, and is one of my favorite pieces. Though slightly more expensive than some of my other pieces the stunning blue of the Mexican Turquoise, the playful braids, and tangled chains make it a must have one of a kind item.
